The Game Awards GOTY For 2024 Is Astro Bot

From what little I played of Astro Bot (because things have been so busy at work due to the holidays, I am just simply too tired to play it when I get home), I enjoyed it very much. Glad to see that it won Game of the Year. As it is, I very much enjoyed Astro’s Playroom, and this plays a lot like that. So I’m certain I’ll have just as good of a time, if not better.

@beltmenot I do not disagree. Personally, I voted for Stellar Blade for the Best Score and Music and Best Action Game categories, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for the Best Family Game and Best Action/Adventure Game categories, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond for the Most Anticipated Game category, and Genshin Impact for the Players’ Voice category.

If I’m being honest, I really wanted Stellar Blade to win the music category, because its soundtrack is an absolute banger. Over ten hours worth of music tracks, and all of it epic. Even my mother liked what little she heard of it the other day. In fact, I listen to it quite frequently on Apple Music when I am at work or when I’m driving.

Quite a few people in the live chat also wanted it to win, and were really upset that it didn’t win. Some were even going as far as to say it was rigged in favor of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I was also disappointed, but I would not go as far as to say it was rigged. After all, both are PlayStation games, so it would have ended up being one or the other. I’m actually looking forward to listening to its music once I play the game (but only after I finish playing Remake).
