The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when were on autopilot for so long that we forget were on autopilot. Because when were not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them we control us. Whereas a person with self-awareness is able to exercise a little meta-cognition and say, “Hmm… every time my sister calls me and asks for money, I end up drinking a lot of vodkas.
This is another way we’re stuck in a time loop ourselves, watching main character Colt slay his way through semi-familiar areas in new ways. I can’t get enough of it.
We’re in a time loop where we’re watching Colt Vahn’s character, who seemingly has no memory of what he’s doing, be killed by a bunch of other characters on a mission to get revenge on a Visionary who locked them in a time loop so he can be killed. What’s so good about the title? I don’t think we’re looking at a time loop as an analogy. Even the title is really good, so I don’t like the title more than the visuals.
