I am all for the primer being easy to remove and reapply (you can buy peel-off face primers that are removable) but, in my opinion, there is almost no reason to use a primer with a face. I personally have never had a problem with my own face getting too dry and cracked from not sticking to the primer. I have a couple of friends who have had dry skin issues and have been very reluctant to use a primer because they dont think it will help.
I am not sure that any of my friends have ever used a primer with their own face. I used to use them on my friend’s face, but he now has skin problems and was reluctant to use them until I convinced him that the primer was working, so I am not sure if I would recommend them in a case like this.
Primer is a great option if you’re having trouble with some big pores. I know I’ve used a variety of primers for oily skin, and I used to use the most expensive ones. I used to get really dry skin in the summer because I would get really oily on the face. Now that I have gotten so used to using a primer every single day, I often end up with very thin and dry skin.
