When I first started blogging, I used the scrub size of my Kitchenaid Mixer. It wasn’t quite the right size for me so I needed to go bigger. After I got the hang of it, though, I realized that this wasn’t the right size for everyone. I find that my Kitchenaid Mixer is usually smaller than most people’s (which is understandable because it does only one thing). So I decided to get a smaller one. It’s been great for me.
I’d like to think that there are some people out there who dont have a scrub size as small as mine… but if you want to be able to do everything, your scrub size needs to be bigger.
At the same time, having a bigger scrub size means you have more area to scrub. Because you have more area, your scrub size can be narrower. As in, smaller scrub sizes typically mean you have to use more water to get the same scrubbing power. As a general rule, scrub sizes should be at least 1/4 their width (I use about 1/2 the width). In my case, I think I used a 3/4 which is pretty close.
I could argue that the smaller scrub sizes are better for scrubbing but I’ve never been scrubbing with a 14 and have scrubbed a 16. In most cases, a 16 is enough for most people.

I disagree. Scrub sizes are a bit too important to be decided on a whim. If you want to use the same amount of water to get as much power for a given scrub size, you have to make sure you use the same amount of water to get as much power for the same amount of scrub size. It’s a way to make sure that you won’t use up more water than you need to water your lawn or other important surfaces.
It’s a shame that scrub sizes are so important, because it seems like it’s so much easier to just buy a bigger scrub and use it in the water department. The problem is that if you buy a bigger scrub, you have to buy a bigger tank to put it in, and if you buy a larger tank, you have to buy an automatic or a manual pump that takes up more room.
That seems like a huge waste of money, especially if you have a small garden. The problem is that you can only use a limited amount of water when taking a shower or bath. So, unless you have a huge bathtub, you’re going to have a very small pool of water once you get in the water.
