I’ve been in love with amber roses since I first saw them in the wild. And now that I’m an old woman, I still get nostalgic about it. So, in honor of my new birthday, I thought I’d share some of my favorite photos of this beautiful flower.
The most memorable thing I saw was right next to my bed after I’d been sitting on my bed reading a novel. I had just finished reading a book about a man named Mr. Smith, and he was playing the piano. The melody was so beautiful, I thought maybe I should try to recreate it, but I could never.
So I decided to try. So I took a photo of the painting and then I took another photo with the photo app on my phone and used it to transform it into an 8×10 photo. I then pasted it into Photoshop. The result is a photo of the actual rose that I bought. Its natural beauty and beauty of detail is what caught me so much.
The rose is acrylic, and I think it looks so beautiful that I really wish the artist had given it a name because it is an incredibly lovely thing.
